Good texture
Concrete offers many aesthetic design possibilities. One outstanding
example is surface texturing by using formliners. In the new NOEplast Handbook
2011, NOE-Schaltechnik presents numerous examples together with the formliners
that produced them. It is thus both a helpful tool in answering technical
questions and a valuable source of inspiration for new projects.
Packed with a host of examples where the technique has been used with precast
and in-situ concrete, the NOEplast Handbook is aimed at contractors, designers
and architects. It explains architectural design using formliners, showing all
textures in detail: cross-sections, maximum dimensions and the final appearance
as a finished concrete slab. In addition, it lists all the essential information
about dimensional tolerances, Shore hardness grades, temperature resistance and
so on, which can be looked up at a glance. The handbook is divided into
chapters, such as wood, masonry, plaster or non-slip textures. This makes for
clarity and the reader can quickly find any desired textured formliner. This
clear division is also reflected on the homepage of the supplier.
Enhancements
The NOEplast Handbook 2011 has been completely revised and contains many new
textures, like the "Foehring" wood texture, for example. A real innovation is
the "Lausitz Granite" masonry structure. With this, NOE-Schaltechnik is
responding to the wishes of its customers in being the only manufacturer to
offer a formliner that can assist in the problem-free construction of the
corners of buildings. It is the first formliner of its type and resembles rubble
veneer masonry of natural stone.
The handbook has been enlarged by the
addition of the chapter "Oriental textures", showing six new formliners and
their associated ornamentation.
Photoengraved formliners
Beside the presentation of standard formliners, the new NOEplast Handbook
naturally also addresses the option of customised formliners. With this process
the designer can implement his or her own ideas in the design of the concrete
and enjoys a maximum of design freedom. Thus any concrete surface can be an
absolutely unique statement. Photoengraved formliners are a special form of
customised formliner. These relief textures produced from photos or drawings are
also documented in the NOEplast Handbook. The photographic effect arises through
the different textural depths, the light reflection and the shadow cast.
Multilingual
With the aid of numerous pictures, the new NOEplast Handbook gives an
in-depth look at the possibilities for the aesthetic design of a building and
for making it a unique architectural statement. It has all the essential
technical details and is published in German, English, French, Dutch, Spanish
and Russian.

information about different ways of designing concrete surfaces using NOEplast
texture formliners.

Also shown in the NOEplast Handbook are: photoengraved formliners.

NOEplast surface design Blätter: The greatest value was set on
authenticity in the creation of this design. None of these textured formliners
recreates or replaces an existing material in texture or touch. Their role is to
emphasise the effect of the architecture.
